This policy explains what EmbroideryCalc processes when you use the website. The short version: the core calculator, DST reader, image sampler, and color matcher are designed to work in your browser.
Files and images
DST files, uploaded images, camera images, filenames, and pixels are processed locally by browser code. EmbroideryCalc does not intentionally transmit those files or their extracted contents to an EmbroideryCalc server.
Information stored on your device
The calculator may use browser local storage for job history, templates, calibration settings, and your analytics-consent choice. This information remains available to anyone who can use the same browser profile. You can remove it by clearing site data in your browser or deleting saved items in the tool.
Analytics
EmbroideryCalc may use Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate page traffic and performance measurements. Cloudflare states that this service does not use cookies or local storage, fingerprint individual visitors, or track individuals across websites. Cloudflare Web Analytics is separate from the optional Google analytics described below.
If Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager is configured, it remains disabled until you choose “Allow analytics.” We may then measure page views and coarse product events such as whether a calculation was completed, whether a DST parse succeeded, a broad quantity range, and the type of tool used.
Analytics events are designed not to include uploaded files, images, filenames, operator or customer names, job numbers, exact stitch counts, exact quantities, saved history, or calibration values. Analytics providers may still process device, browser, approximate location, IP-derived, referrer, performance, and interaction information under their own policies.
Advertising and affiliate links
EmbroideryCalc may eventually show clearly labeled sponsorships, advertising, or affiliate links. Clicking a third-party link can allow that provider to receive ordinary request information and an affiliate identifier. Advertising cookies will not be introduced merely by the code in this release; any future advertising rollout requires updated consent controls and this policy.
External sites
Links to manufacturers, references, retailers, and other external sites are governed by those sites’ policies. EmbroideryCalc does not control their data practices.
Retention and choices
Browser-local data remains until you remove it or the browser clears it. If analytics is enabled, provider retention settings apply. You can change the current browser’s Google analytics choice through the “Privacy choices” link in the site footer or by clearing EmbroideryCalc site data and reloading the page. That choice does not control Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use the consent value stored by EmbroideryCalc.
Children
EmbroideryCalc is a general business and educational tool and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes and contact
Material changes will be reflected by a new date on this page. Questions, privacy requests, and corrections can be submitted through the project support channel. Do not include confidential customer artwork or personal production data in a public issue.
