EmbroideryCalc began with a deceptively simple problem: the stitch count alone does not tell you when a job will be finished. Loading, marking, hooping, color changes, trims, interruptions, finishing, and the way work moves across multiple heads all matter.

Measured first, editable always

The starting calibration was measured in a working embroidery shop. It is published as a starting point—not presented as a universal industry truth. Every shop can adjust the assumptions locally and compare estimates with actual finishes.

Useful without collecting production files

DST inspection and image color analysis run in the browser. The project is designed to offer meaningful tools without requiring an account or copying customer artwork and production history to a server.

Editorial standard

Guides separate measured observations, calculated estimates, and third-party facts. News and case-study pieces link to original sources when possible. Commercial relationships will be disclosed and will not change calculation results or color rankings.

Questions and corrections

Embroidery changes across machines, materials, digitizing styles, and real shop constraints. Corrections and reproducible examples are welcome through the public project support channel.
